The Exhale

The Exhale

There is something solemn, almost sacred that lives in this intimate space— the moment you close that door. Leaving the weight of the day off your shoulder, leaving whatever mask or role you had to carry in front of the world. Letting your clothes fall on the ground, the same way a warrior would let his armor down after the battle.

However different we think we are from each other, we all share the same exhale in that space.

The exhale that comes almost like if we have been holding our breath for too long.

And yet, that exhale connects us far more deeper that what's within the grasp of our comprehension. That very exhale is a remembrance of what it feels like to be alive and connect us to our true essence.

Once you bring your attention to it, you find that within it lives a space almost like a sweet invitation. A 'rendez-vous" to meet with yourself, through all your senses.

Yet how many of us rush through that "invitation" like it was a task, to get over with as quick as possible. Letting our mind race to a thousand things that has been going on during the day when it's gone and already belong to the past.

What if you paused in that space instead, to just listen and feel? Listen to the beat of your heart, the way it slows down when you get in contact with water. Feel the sensation of water the moment it touches your skin, and runs down to your feet, feel the sensation of your own hands when they come in contact with your skin— bringing awareness to the way you touch and tend to yourself.

Acknowledge how that exhale is now deeper than what it was when you enter that space.

There, in that moment feel... this is what it feels like to be fully present.

What an amazing sensation right?

Know that you can access that feeling every time you allow yourself to just be. That space lives inside you— we are just here to hold the light on the path back to it so you can find your way.
